George Harrison's 'My Sweet Lord' a rip off of a Chiffons track? The court ruled YES. I had never heard the comparitive Chiffons track, but in listening to it I found the simmilarities were obvious enough to infer foul play. while the tempo of The Chiffons song is much faster and the lyrics are completely different, the tune of the song is virtually the same.

YES, the chair is definitely coppied. The characteristic rectangular planes of which the chair is constructed make it easy to place, while the grid-like pattern on the wall behind the chair is also a distinctive feature which has been replicated.

Kier Smith: response to 'fair use' issues paper provided by the Australian government in 2005 - is it illegal? the short film of copied material he created does break copyright law, however, he makes no commercial gain from it. It should come under 'fair use' he states; we may then infer from the film that 'fair use' is somewhat innefective.
